@robinp@mastodon.social I can find very little information about her in English, but there is this: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1096469 It has links to Wikipedia pages in four languages, none of which I speak. I wouldn't normally correct someone speaking English as a second language, but Ms Illés was an astronomer, i.e. a legitimate scientist, rather than an astrologer, i.e. a fraud. Please forgive this correction.

    @CppGuy@infosec.space indeed it is her! Woops, corrected, thanks! TBH I was not aware of the difference of these wordings. In Hungarian we normally use "csillagász" literally meaning "starrer", though the official body is called "...asztroNómiai..." indeed. There's a popular (?, well as popular as such can be) space podcast in Hungary where the hosts knew and worked with her, and tell some stories. Apparently she was the first astronomer here to learn to program and develop related computations.
