@mariyadelano@hachyderm.io Being able to program useful interactions between systems requires those systems to have a documented and functional API of some kind. A lot of new tech (especially consumer-faacing tech) is closed, locked down, and proprietary. Or enough so that programming against it is a nightmare. Open, interoperable standards are key to successful automation.
