@mevenlennonbertrand@lipn.info 'polite mathematical discourse' is a reference to a joke I loath to say in a seminar or a slide, but perfectly happy to put on the fediverse. I'm not sure who the original for it, so if someone finds a primary source, I'll edit the post.
Mathematical foundations are like sexy loungerie---they boost your confidence, but shouldn't be mentioned in polite conversation.
