@econetwork@mas.to @scogings@mastodon.world Definitely mulching and heaping up the soil around them as much as you can. This should also help to keep them cool - they don't like the soil to be too hot. If you could add shade, you might find that helpful in the dry season? It should reduce temperature and water loss. Just a guess! Maybe try it in one area and see how successful it is? I do know that they can grow quite well in shady conditions here in the UK.

    @RhinosWorryMe@climatejustice.social @scogings@mastodon.world Yes, that is understandable, thank you It is also good for us to try some gardening methods used in the UK and see if they would work for us as in our conditions, especially hilling. We will try to apply and test it again in our garden as we learn more.
