I like nice things. Liking nice things sometimes brings me so much joy because there's some deep nerding going on in items that are crafted. I had a conversation in the pen shop where I bought my glass dip pen about fountain pen tips and the shop guy told me about how he went to Italy to meet the person who re-files the nibs on their highest quality fountain pens and how difficult and precise a skill it is. I love that there are professional fountain-pen-nib-sharpeners.
