@leigh@ottawa.place @andrew@ottawa.place Congratulations on setting up a local Ottawa instance. The about page looks good with the clear CoC and instance block lists.
Do you think that it might be good to boost the transparency a bit by providing details about how the instance is run?
For example, I'm curious about where the funding comes from, details about the admin team, plans for "bus factor."

@seeteegee@social.afront.org @leigh@ottawa.place Yeah, I’m hoping to write up a bit more about that! The funding question is an easy one: we’re paying for it ourselves for now, out of pocket. If it becomes popular enough to need to expand the hosting, we’re going to register a nonprofit and transfer the domain and servers to it, and look into taking donations for costs.
