@vaurora@mstdn.social Also, I'm running into ghost projects the other way... my favourite launcher got bought my some Firm That Buys Companies, and all but one dev got laid off, and then he left voluntarily, basically orphaning the project... this may or may not be due to AI but it's definitely got to do with tech bros with more dollars than sense, of which AI-as-we-know-it is a proper subset...
