@rogerparkinson@mastodon.nz @fatsam@mstdn.social more like years if not decades. I'm assuming you need to survive without using much of the remaining nature until it rebuilds itself. And there will be bands of raiders for a long time, picking off planners.

@pixelpusher220@dmv.community @fatsam@mstdn.social pockets of survivors, I guess. As you observed earlier, after a short time, the quality degrades. Lots of people would just starve. The people who had stored food would last longer, but it would only be weeks for most. The ones prepared to raid others would not last very much longer. There's a huge overhead of traveling about finding who has/is food, then fighting for it. I don't think they'd last. I hope we never get to that state.
