@mudala@mastodon.social Hey, I use grapheneos with davx and fossify calendar. The birthdays are displayed in the calendar and are saved on the remote server. I don't have any local contacts. So it works. Maybe you have to activate the "birthdays from contacts" in your calendar app. Normally you see the birthdays in your contacts app.

@copypasteninja@norden.social Hey Buddy. So, this isn't working, because fissify also just extracts BD's from the contacts, then shows them in the calendar on the phone. But if you subscribe to this Calendar in, lets say thunderbird, they will not be shown. You need the "Birthday" app. It explicitly CREATES new calendar entries for the BD's. The alternative with Baikal is a script on the server that reads the Contacts from the SQL DB and writes their BD's to the Calendar. §8-)
