@tompearce49@mastodon.scot I read earlier that 9 out of 10 Google "AI" summaries are accurate - or to put it another way, that 10% of them contain errors. That's enough to cause those errors to proliferate across the internet, and be replicated even by those who largely write their own work, but may have used a summary as a jumping-off point. Of course that's going to poison the well of human knowledge over time, as even legitimate sourcing becomes less reliable. This technology is like universal acid.
