@bart@floss.social @organicmaps@fosstodon.org But nobody in our open source world likes or wants to collect the data we need to do this... until someone takes on this task it's going stay almost impossible to get normal users to switch.

Privacy concerns aside, it's hard to imagine even a new commercial thing that wouldn't get bought up by the tech dorks in short order, ala Waze.
