Maybe you can, but I can’t. Don’t know about Young Sheldon, but I HATE the other show. I just cannot like it for whatever reason and Sheldon is one of the main reasons. I just find him so annoying.

Pop Culture Detective’s The Adorkable Misogyny of The Big Bang Theory is a good video essay on (at least why I hate) the show. I have heard Young Sheldon is actually better, but it’s not exactly working from fertile soil, and it sounds like a lot of character growth moments that happen in Young Sheldon are seemingly forgotten by the time the main show rolls around.

I’m not a big fan of the shows either, but I just can’t being myself to hate Sheldon. Yes, he is annoying, but I feel it’s more that he doesn’t understand why people see him in this way rather than him willfully acting annoying…
