Stock dove. I've had a challenging week and it feels like nothing has gone to plan. I wasn't even supposed to be out birding today. However, it was probably the only thing that's gone well. I've been wanting a good photograph of a stock dove for ages. They're typically overlooked, shy birds spending time in shaded woodland, but today they were surprisingly confiding. May 2026.
