Brought these two home with me today. The cabbages have been slow to head up but it'll be tasty all the same #allotment #growyourown

Incase it's helpful to others. The cauliflower is 'snowball' variety, planted in autumn to overwinter in a cold greenhouse. The cabbage is 'april' variety, planted in autumn outside under netting. Both had eggs shells as a physical slug barrier and an oil blend of garlic, clove and rosemary which I use to mask the scent - my favourite combo to prevent slugs atm. I use dried bramble canes tied in rings instead of egg shells sometimes too.
