I see an interesting blog post, I boost it here. I read A Journal of the Plague Year a few years ago myself (long before the pandemic). One of the things that stuck with me is that (despite what all the Zombie Apocalypse media will tell you) humanity did not descend into isolated pockets at war with each other.
