@axel_hartmann@digitalcourage.social Sure! The first thing to do is to identify the model from the serial number. There are tools online, I used the one on ISMACS (look up "singer serial database").
Then you can find the user and service manual with where to lubricate it. I found mine on archive.org.
I had some issues with threading, and I found multiple videos and forum posts about this.

@altomare@oldbytes.space - thanks! Apparently a 1903 treadle. This has rabbit hole potential. However, like many similar rabbit holes, I've found no simple guide to actually identifying the model. It is just assumed you know; or that the technical terms are common knowledge. No source showing all models and where to look for the differences. One website that shows screenshots of a video where the whole household and workshop are shown, but the machines themselves are visually lost in the images. Meh.
