RE: https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@yurisizov/116539966688586574 To compensate I devised a new plan for this week: spend each day a few hours on personal projects, then a few hours of contract work. And I think that experiment is a success! I made progress on art and code for my game, and also made some money – all without guilt in either direction! And I felt more productive too, working more hours total. Switching up midday also helped it all feel less draining. Even though I like to keep focus, sometimes things drag you down if you don’t take a break.
