@iris_meredith@mastodon.social there's an alternate viewpoint here, which is that the "I" you're talking to has existed only since roughly 2021 (therefore "I" have never transitioned, strictly speaking), and all of the benefits and emotional contrast has been left in the past. this draws from specific facts and events, but ultimately which option is "correct" depends entirely on what your philosophy of cognition says
