@Cloudslave@aus.social it can be hard to connect with people there. I would describe Bluesky as "noisy."
A lot of users follow thousands of accounts, so the only way people can cut through is by basically spam posting and reposting. The result for someone like me only following a few hundred would be an unusable timeline with huge blocks of content from a single account.
Once all the Twitter refugees showed up it started getting toxic because apparently they only get online to fight about politics 😑

@CarlWatkins@mastodon.social @Cloudslave@aus.social yep. this is I think my main complaint about Twitter clones. non-centralized ones avoid the "always encourage more follows because it feeds addiction" somewhat better, but centralized ones always fall into that trap, and it encourages worse-for-everyone behaviors because nothing else works at all
