I've been myself "self-diagnosed" by a third party, i.e. my family one-sidedly decided that:
1. I'm on the spectrum
2. Being on the spectrum is having "little left-overs of perfection from the paradise/god/whatever"
The very reduction of the idea to this scheme makes me reactive to the idea of diagnosis. I just prefer to deal with my "quirknesses" individually, without putting a brand on them that might both overdetermine and underdetermine them
