@GeofCox@climatejustice.social yes a couple of years ago I posited the development of a NS&I social housing bond... with exactly this sort of logic. On the bond traders; the key ting is they are margin traders, both in the sense of trading at the margins of the overall bind market (while influencing more of it) & only interested in the impact *on* margins (quite tightly defined)

  • @ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us A social housing bond is a great idea - "safe as houses" ! But there are surely many areas of government investment - current or badly needed - for example environmental initiatives like home insulation - that are suited to this form of investment rather than generalised public deficit.
