@rooftopjaxx@kolektiva.social @ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us Well Streeting is not going to get any love from the left, but neither does he have the populist X-factor that might win over working class voters who are being attracted by Reform "just to shake up the system". I admit Labour are in trouble for credible leaders atm. Leaders are an annoying single point of failure and we would do well without them. Sadly...

@kbm0@mastodon.social not sure if you missed the point, that the immense expense would be new mayoral elections in either of London or Greater Manchester? And that mightn't wash too well… @ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us
