@ljwrites@writeout.ink I enjoy immortality books that, like you say, engage with it.
I'm almost certainly thinking of this because you brought up people bringing up Black authors to you, but Octavia Butler's Patternist series does.
Otherwise, I'm only a part into Luna McNamara's Psyche and Eros, but Eros's immortality figures heavily into his perspective chapters.
It's fun stuff.
I also consider it as yet to be determined whether I am mortal. But I rather hope I am.

@naga@toot.cat Could also be because Black authors write some *dayum* fine speculative fiction — which they do! Those are some good recs. Yeah it occurs to me that strictly speaking no one actually knows until death happens/doesn't happen on schedule eh? That's actually a fun story premise, what if you just don't know until the time comes...
