@tessaracht@kitty.town That would be an adventure for sure! It's amusing to think of space exploration as the equivalent of kids growing up and moving out, except instead of moving to the city or college they ship out to like Mars or Alpha Centauri. But unless existing structures of power are also broken down, this could work out as entrenched powers exploiting younger societies and people to extend their own reach. So many fascinating/disturbing possibilities.

@ljwrites@writeout.ink yep! we absolutely do need to completely dismantle capitalism and personally concentrated power first. without doing that, all of this is just dystopia that'll keep growing in scope. everyone likes playing 40k because of how awful the universe is, but we definitely don't want to build that galaxy. 😅
