Avoid writing the brief as an advertisement. Publishers generally need an informative angle, not a sales paragraph. Instead of asking for an article that praises a software company, request an educational piece such as “How small teams can organize recurring customer support tasks.” The target page can then be referenced where it genuinely expands on the subject. Include examples of acceptable context. Suppose the target page is a guide to selecting warehouse management software. Good surrounding topics might include inventory accuracy, barcode workflows, order processing, or fulfillment reporting. A poor surrounding topic might be a generic article about home decoration with one forced sentence about warehouses. (14/38)
