  @edendestroyer@solarpunk.moe Shakti, and to be more precise, Kali and Sati. (Hindu gods are all sort of one god mixed together, kind of like the Christian trinity but with thousands of gods instead of three.) The anime director Tomino later named another character "Shakti" in Victory Gundam so he seems to have been interested in her for years. Gundam has a ton of religious symbolism, but because it's mostly Hinduism and Buddhism, it tends to get overlooked by the western fandom. In Japan it's considered part of the "occult wave" and people even blamed it for inspiring the Aum Shinrikyo cult... Lalah was inspired by multiple figures from different religions/folklore.
