ngl even though I highly dislike medical studies (honestly most boring part of biology), it might just be my STEM bias but I much prefer understanding myself via the medical lens than the sociological lens
like I'd rather understand that yeah ADHD is a medical condition and here are treatments than mindfulness or whatever (not that it's bad, it's just highly unappealing to me) same with gender incongruence, I'd rather like oh yeah it could be a developmental issue in the womb and I can't change that rather than a meaningful statement (which I never felt it was)
THIS IS PERSONAL OPINION AND A RANDOM BRAIN THOUGHT, I DO NOT WISH TO MAKE PEOPLE AGREE WITH ME 🚨🚨🚨
(because mentioning this is necessary online )

"don't you feel better to feel like you have a choice" not necessarily all the time, especially when it isn't true. I like problems and solving them and if I can't solve them I like learning about ways people are studying and understanding the issue
