@eaterofsnacks@tilde.zone @mwl@io.mwl.io I’ve not read Absolute FreeBSD so I can’t compare to it.
But I made the following comment to a friend about the Mastery series:
Every Mastery book covers some things I knew well, provided clarification / better understanding on some other things, and even introduced me to still other things I had no idea about.
Every Mastery book has been worth both my time and my money.

@eaterofsnacks@tilde.zone @mwl@io.mwl.io but Networking for System Administrators in particular gives a sampling and real world meaning to many things that I think system administrators should have at least a basic understanding of. It takes things from blindly following directions to having a basic understanding to even asking good probing questions about networking / network services / daemons.
