The newspaper ran a piece on how to make small talk. It recommended questions like 'Busy day so far?' or 'How was the commute?'... I suppose asking the ticket clerk why public transport fees are non-negotiable wasn't quite the right approach. Righto, best save the Garfinkel-style questions for special occasions.
