On my revamped personal website, I’d finally like to devote a little attention to my longest-standing hobby: photography. Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to visit London. As a devoted user of prime lenses, I chose the Fujifilm 35mm F1.4 (35mm equivalent of 52mm) and the 18mm F2 (27mm) – which, in my view, offer the best balance between weight and flexibility. Only occasionally did I miss having a 23mm (35mm), but I currently value the ability to cover a wider range with these two lenses more highly. I also decided to consistently choose between two film simulations: a manually adjusted ‘Acros’ (black-and-white) and a ‘Classic Chrome’ preset—depending on whether the subject benefited from color or not. ☞ https://ivo.berlin/fotografie/london-2026
