As I understand it, Blanche was renting the house and sub-letting the extra rooms to Dorothy, Rose, Sophia, and Jonny. I believe that just two weeks or so after Jonny moved in, Blanche was notified by the owner that they were going to sell the house, and that everyone needed to be out of there by sometime in May.
