@siracusa - in regards to the dumb door handles discussion from last week; there is a small bonus. On my car (a 2022 Lexus NX), the electric door release ties into a system that looks out for oncoming traffic. It actually once saved me from opening my door into a cyclist I didn't see coming up behind me as I was exiting my vehicle. Worth it? No clue, but it did _something_. (They're also designed so that if you pull the button it opens, which most folks do in my car who don't know)
