@Linux@mastodon.au @lokjo@mapstodon.space Once upon a time, there was a phenomena known as Slashdot effect, choking unsuspecting niche sites by concentrating the geeks of the world upon it. Once it was a lone Commodore 64 running a prototype web-server, meticulously serving one byte at a time... It's been a while since I last saw anything slashdotted, but it seems Lokjo has been treated to a new version of the same: mastodonted. Although in this case Lokjo wasn't an unsuspecting nice site but self-advertising.
