@cohanf@mastodon.online yes, alpine plants were listed. Any medicinals would be welcome. Pollinator fodder-hadn't thought of that, so more hood reason!

    @BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden I have a number of rock garden beds, and they have some of the very earliest flowers in spring- almost as soon as the snow is gone, and well ahead of the vast majority of native plants here. Many of my earliest bee sightings are in those beds, and there are some small species I think might actually live in there. It's also true at the other end of the season- some things keep flowering until *deep* frost (a few degrees of freezing does not bother alpines spring or fall) .
