@kim@social.gfsc.studio Fair, we're working on improving that as actually that remaining 20% is not all more expensive – most is at least on parity with gas.
Also not necessarily a huge capital expense, though that depends on each property, grants, etc.

@robhawkes@fosstodon.org yeah for the record im mad at the government for not incentivising everyone to do it! it should be a total financial no brainer not least with all the ~ world events ~. i got a quote for octopus solar too and the maths just wasn't mathing which was a real shame - the govt should make it feel like a good long term investment we are incentivised to get!

@robhawkes@fosstodon.org @kim@social.gfsc.studio thanks. I very much look forward to getting a heat pump by 2040. Unfortunately we’re deep in the 20% where it just won’t make sense before then. The issues are more specific to UK policy than the technology, and technology moves MUCH faster than UK policy. 🙄
