@CiscoJunkie@techhub.social Forget about Obsidian and look into #Logseq instead. It lets you select a folder for your data and you can sync that folder however you want: git, Nextcloud, restic, etc.

    @geillescas@techhub.social My top-level post was not asking about note platform alternatives or sync options; I've spent some time digging into both of those things and have them relatively sorted. After reading Logseq's documentation, I also don't think Logseq is intended to fill the same gap as something like Joplin, though I certainly see the parallels with Obsidian. It seems to be *very* focused around connections/graphs, which is not an Obsidian feature I'm currently leveraging anyway. I *do* see a self-hosted publishing option (https://github.com/sawhney17/logseq-schrodinger), but it would require a new page generation platform and a pretty heavy amount of customization to get that platform running.
