@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations@mastodon.ie set up a recurring alarm on your phone. I find that works great for short term reminders, but I start ignoring the reminders after a while

@Yfkysf@stranger.social yes, its exactly that 'reminder blindness' that we're trying to design against. I work in a loft at the moment, and now that the weather is warmer I have the velux windows open. But its manchester so it rains a lot. I put a big sign at face height by the stairs to remind me to check 'are the windows closed?' before i leave, and it worked for about a fortnight before the sign simply blurred into the background and i started to ignore it😅. No rain spills so far tho
