@mikemai2awesome@mastodon.social @ItsCrisDiaz@mastodon.social single checkbox would require you to settle on some kind of description/accessible name that can be on/off, true/false. not ideal for having two distinct states (theme: light/dark). so you'd have to do something like "dark theme" for the accName, so that it's naturally something that can be toggled on or off. and then change the visual presentation, as otherwise it would be a mismatch (single toggle, instead of two distinct ones)
