@Earl@mast.john1126.com the use what only to connect to it with ssh in a terminal. Direct GUI over ssh (say you use ssh -X) is veeeery slow when bandwidth is low (at least in my experience). When I need GUI, I use some vnc setup (Xtigervnc). This can be tunneled into ssh, I use it all the time. It offers good responsiveness. I think it should work with my little hack, but not tested. And fvwm works fine with Xtigervnc yes.
