I wonder if the whole “rewrite bun in rust” thing is at least partially driven by rust being more amenable to llm tooling, it being more likely to error out on dubious constructions and there being a larger volume of training material. I don’t imagine there’s much performance benefit, but maybe I’m wrong. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that mythos works noticeably better on rust than zig, though.
