@b0rk@social.jvns.ca The "~no config required" part is also one of my favorite things about Helix. I really prioritize using tools that have sane defaults and work without much/any screwing around on my part, and Helix is the best thing that I've found in that department.

@b0rk@social.jvns.ca I'm actually somewhat worried about people pushing for Helix to have a plugin system because in my experience, plugins never really reach the level of polish that the editor-integrated features have, and they always seem to have issues when the base editor or other plugins get updated, and there's a very natural inclination to have everything that can be a plugin be a plugin.
