I have the opposite problem; my car tracks mileage and presents messages when things should be serviced.
Yet my dealership routinely asks if I would like "throttle body cleaner" for a couple of hundred bucks.
The associates have learned not to ask me, after I ask them to show me anything from the manufacturer recommending it…
