I just pissed into the wind; contacted all of my US rep and senator; to wit: "Hey! Google chevron stock, BP stock, Shell PLC stock, Exxon stock. I don't mind paying a bit more at the pump because we want to stop iran from having nukes, but someone needs to stand up and ask big oil WTF they're doing profiteering at our expense." All oil companies with the exception of BP are at or around the highest stock prices, ever. BP is highest since 2013, but still. at the pump we're giving dividends?!
