I came up with the idea of the Addercop stuff years ago, and there wasn't really a particular allegory for anything. Sure, it's through a US lens since that's where I'm from and what I know; but largely it's just bad guys doing bad guy things, good guys trying to be good and their ideas of good and evil mixing with their circumstances and perspectives to put them on one side of a conflict or whatever. Honestly, it was largely just meant to be a tabletop-ish campaign that never panned out for scheduling reasons and I needed an evil group. Anyways, I haven't changed anything about that in the books and they're very rapidly becoming an unintended allegory for what's happening here in the US. Down to some character names. That I came up with years ago. I wrote bad guys doing bad guy things. If your 'side' in politics is doing stuff that are bad guy things *maybe* you should stop doing politics as a team sport and start demanding people not do that bad guy shit.
