  @quantumsys@tech.lgbt in my and a lot of other people’s experiences matrix is an absolute dumpster fire stability-wise. encryption will randomly break, sometimes encryption will silently break, sometimes even unencrypted rooms will break because matrix’ state sync mechanism is by now notoriously unreliable. if an instance goes down for a brief period of time everyone involved should expect breakage, as everything goes out of sync across the board
