I humbly propose this thought:
If you find yourself believing that an entire class of humans are (almost) universally doing or thinking something wrong, it is far more likely that it’s a case of something you are missing or unaware of.
Of course there are definitely instances of groupthink where this doesn’t hold up, but it’s worth keeping in mind as a starting point at least.
