@nancylwayne@mastodon.social May I ask in which climate zone you live? Do they like shadow/humidity more than dry sunny places?
As I lost plants like you, I suspect their roots could be delicious for voles ... but I'm not sure.

@NatureMC@mastodon.online I'm in zone 6a. My backyard, where the Bleeding Hearts live, is nearly fully shaded. But the neighbor who gave them to me had them in their front yard that is nearly always sunny. Go figure!
