@98Percent@mastodon.nz I think humans have always exhibited such behavior. Archeologists find food stores that were never eaten. The big difference is that there are a LOT more humans now than there were. In 1975 there were 4 Billion people on the planet and we were talking seriously about zero population growth. Now there are twice that many and people are worried about not enough babies being born. It's madness!
