@trishagee@mastodon.social I've been actively searching for 5 months. Employers have become extremely picky and are looking for candidates with the exact set of skills they need for the job: my profile has been declined multiple times late in the process because I lacked professional experience in a specific back-end framework, even though I have experience in similar frameworks I could tap into to quickly learn.

@trishagee@mastodon.social Many applications were left unanswered. AI seems unescapable, more and more jobs require its use or experience in it, I struggle to find jobs without that crap. And I have ceased to count the number of recruiters that told me that I should accept AI and start using it.
