@eloquence@social.coop but aren't some of the greatest conflicts of our time around semantics of exactly this sort? pronouns for transgender rights, penning as homophobia the persecution of gays, or discrimination as nazi. You'd think that, with the tremendous success these rhetorical tools have seen, we should embrace them rather than push them away.
